Over the centuries there have been numerous parishes scattered throughout the south east area of the Diocese of Ferns. Below is a list of closed churches and incorporated parishes that are still within the geographical structure of Wexford Union. It is important to remember that parish and Union structures changed regularly and where once a parish may have been enveloped in a particular Union it may well have been restructured under the umbrella of another Union. Also listed are some parishes that are no longer within the geographical boundaries of the Union but were once amalgamated with existing parishes within the Union.
