How to Find us
From Wexford take the Heritage Park Road situated on the N11 in Ferrycarrig. Continue along the river until you turn under the railway bridge. Turn right immediately for Glynn and Killurin. Continue on this road for approximately 8km. The church is situated at the end of a cul de sac. A sign is situated on the right side top of the lane. A service station is situated .5km past the church.
From New Ross take the Wexford Road for approximately 18km. At Larkin's Cross (you will see a sign for Mother Hubbards on the left and the service station on the right) turn left. Continue on this road until you see a railway bridge ahead. Turn left before the railway bridge and follow the direction as for above.
History
The church that stands in Killurin today was built in 1785 on the site of a previous Church. In 1776 Killurin, Whitechurchglyn, Chapel Curraglyn and Kilbrideglyn were united by Act of Council. In 1876 Killurin was united with Kilpatrick, and both were united to Ardcolm in 1922. If you would like to see what parishes were included in Killurin Union Click Here. In 2001 the Church was temporarily closed for major repairs to roof and walls costing €70,000 and was reconcecrated by Bishop John Neil in 2002.

Below is a list of Surnames transcribed by Marianne Young from the Baptisms Burials & Marriage Registers (Errors and omissions excused). The original registers can be viewed at the RCB Library, Dublin. Please note that at the time of the event many of the population were illiterate and the spelling of surnames was often the interpretation of the officiating cleric e.g. Simmins could be the same as Simmons.
