On Friday 2nd March pupils from 3rd & 4th classes led the Children’s Service for World Day of Prayer with readings, songs, prayers and drama.

On Tuesday 6th March the Armagh Planetarium visited the school and brought their "Space Dome". The children loved looking at the night sky and space and listening to the myths and stories and looking at the constellations in the sky. It was like being transported into another world!
World Book Week and Wexford Book Festival were both launched on Thursday 1st March. The school children were invited to Wexford Library to help open this event. Buí Bolg's ƚJonathan Swift) and Don Conroy both held the children's attention with various storied and sketches.

A big "congratulations" to Elise Jamieson who won the Design a Bookmark competition. She was presented with a book voucher worth €100 from Hughes and Hughes for the school. Don Conroy chose her bookmark from hundreds and hundreds of entries submitted by school children in Wexford.

The Book Fair was in the school this week. A big thank you to all the parents who volunteered to “"Man the tills" and help out during the day. Without their time and effort the Fair would not run so smoothly. Children and parents enjoyed browsing through the bookcases.

Once again St. Iberius N.S. are making national headlines. The school came overall 2nd in the MS Readathon Primary Schools of Ireland section. Four children were invited to accept the award on Wednesday 7th March in Dundrum Cineplex. Kevin Kelly, Brionn Coffey, Elizabeth Kavanagh and Holly Johnston collected a beautiful shield and €600 book vouchers. Thanks to Pat Kelly and Gary Johnston for bring the children up to Dundrum Cineplex for the presentations. All credit to parents and children who supported this very worthwhile venture!
